Winter Art Camp (Ages 6–8): Art & Ecology

In this combined media course, just take inspiration from artists on look at who adore character and want to guard the environment. You can expect to sculpt, paint, and attract with artist Beatriz Jaramillo.

About the Teacher

Beatriz Jaramillo’s work addresses the landscape as metaphor and modality, highlighting the tensions produced by the synthetic separation among mother nature and lifestyle, and, in the course of action, inviting the viewer to rethink their fractured romantic relationship with nature. Beatriz analyzed Wonderful Arts in her indigenous Colombia, and, in Los Angeles, she acquired an MA in Artwork Education and an MFA in Studio Artwork with emphasis in Sculpture/Ceramics. With her work, the artist integrates art, science, and technological know-how with group participation, in buy to encourage meaningful dialogues about environmental troubles. Her artwork has been exhibited in a number of galleries and museums in the United states of america and Colombia. She also has served as a teaching artist at LACMA and the Norton Simon Museum, as perfectly as a faculty member at Cal Point out University, as a Ceramic Instructor.
