Film at LACMA offers traditional and modern narrative and documentary movies, artists and their influences, rising auteurs, worldwide showcases, special guest-curated courses, and discussions with artists and exclusive friends. 

LACMA users at the Supporter and Associate stage are invited to be part of Movie at LACMA for a special screening of Elvis adopted by a conversation with showcased talent Austin Butler and director, producer, and co-author Baz Luhrmann.

Luhrmann will take us on the shifting journey of a rebel and an icon as America’s cultural landscape advanced above more than 30 years. Elvis celebrates the incredible existence of a trailblazing artist, the enjoys and poignant losses he faced as a man, and the timeless new music and groundbreaking performances he gave the entire world. The movie explores how Presley’s unparalleled rise to fame was sparked by Svengali Colonel Tom Parker, whose shortcomings had been also primarily liable for the singer’s tragic demise.
