Often times it’s the street which is the best place to meet women. Think about it – you are out of the competitive bar environment and are in “neutral ground”; it is not an obvious pick up environment so approaching women on the street will seem natural and spontaneous, if you do it right.
Here are 3 “must use” techniques for approaching women on the street.
1. Physically approach women properly, do not follow or trail behind women! This can be disastrous as no one likes being followed. You always want to meet the women side by side if she is walking, or head on if you are walking in opposite directions. Never be that guy who trails behind the woman while yelling out “excuse me.. hello.. hey there..” This is pathetic and displays poor approach. Automatically the woman is put in an annoying situation as she has to turn around, likely wondering why someone is yelling at her.
2. Show your confidence. The make or break aspect of approaching women on the street is the ability to show your confidence. Women can not only detect confidence, but they can be highly turned on by it. Now confidence does not mean aggressiveness. Don’t be over aggressive and try to play that off as confidence. Just be naturally strong and exude an air of sureness about yourself. Politely pardon yourself if it becomes clear the woman is not interested. Some times this can even show that you were brave enough to approach her, and are confident enough within yourself even when being turned down. You may very well get a “wait a minute, what’s your name” even after an initial turn down.
3. Smile, greet pleasantly, and have some humor in your back pocket. For the initial approach you should smile and pleasantly greet the woman. A simple “good afternoon, how are you” is a good neutral opener. The key for approaching women on the street is sustaining the opening greeting. And an excellent way to do this is through humor. Always have some humor “in your back pocket”. What this means is to simply arm yourself beforehand with some humorous lines. Laughter works excellent for opening the gates and carrying on your conversation.
